What Is a Car Seat Towel?
A car seat towel is a towel designed specifically to protect your car seats from moisture, sand, chlorine and everything else that comes with an active outdoor life. Unlike a regular towel you chuck on the seat (which slides around, falls off and does not really cover anything), a proper car seat towel is shaped and fitted to stay where you put it. It typically hooks over the headrest so it covers the full seat back and seat base and actually stays in place.
Our car seat towels are made from the same premium rPET microfibre as our beach towels. That means they are highly absorbent, quick to dry and made from recycled plastic bottles. Good for your seats and good for the ocean.
Why You Actually Need a Car Seat Towel
Your seats take a beating without one
Car upholstery is not cheap to clean or replace. Salt water and chlorine soak into the fabric and foam over time and cause damage that builds up slowly. Sand gets down into the seat cushions and acts as an abrasive. A car seat towel puts a washable barrier between your wet gear and your interior so none of that gets a chance to do its damage.
You can dry off and sit down at the same time
This is a small thing that makes a big difference. Because our car seat towel is made from absorbent microfibre, you can use it to dry off your arms and legs and then sit straight down on it. No more dripping all over the seat while you try to towel off in a car park.
It is brilliant for dogs
If your dog comes to the beach (lucky dog), a car seat towel on the back seat is a very good idea. It gives them a clean comfortable surface, protects the upholstery from wet fur and sand and it goes in the washing machine when needed. What to Look for in a Car Seat Towel
Fit. It needs to attach to the headrest properly and cover the seat base. A towel that slips off the moment you sit down is useless.
Absorbency. Microfibre is the go. It absorbs water quickly without becoming heavy and waterlogged.
Drying speed. You want it to dry between uses rather than sitting damp in your boot all week.
Washability. It goes in the machine, it comes out clean, it is ready again. Simple.

How to Use It
