Supporting Our Oceans

At Will and Wind our designs are inspired by Australia’s coastline and the wildlife that calls it home. Creating towels from recycled materials is only one part of how we try to tread lightly. The other part is supporting some of the organisations that protect the places and species we love.

One of those organisations is the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

AMCS

Why we chose AMCS

AMCS is Australia’s leading marine conservation charity and has spent sixty years protecting the health of our oceans. Their work covers everything from safeguarding endangered species to improving water quality around reefs and defending critical habitats along our coastline.

We chose AMCS because their mission aligns with our own belief that everyday choices can have a positive impact. When our customers take a towel to the beach they are choosing something made from recycled bottles and choosing to support healthier oceans at the same time.

Our contribution

For every Bottlenose Dolphin Towel sold 10% of proceeds go directly to AMCS. This contribution supports their active conservation programmes and helps fund research, advocacy, education and on-ground protection efforts.

We selected the Bottlenose Dolphin design for this partnership as a way to celebrate one of Australia’s most loved marine animals. The image at the centre of the design was captured in the wild by underwater photographer Brooke Pyke. It represents the beauty of Australia’s marine life and the importance of protecting it.
