A hair wrap is a lightweight towel designed specifically to sit on your head and absorb moisture from your hair while you get dressed, drive home or go about your morning routine. Unlike twisting a regular bath towel on top of your head (which is heavy, falls off and takes ages to actually dry your hair), a proper hair wrap is shaped to stay put and gets to work straight away.
The key difference is the fabric. Our hair wraps are made from high-grade rPET microfibre which is a much finer material than cotton. That fineness is what makes it work so well on hair.

Cotton fibres are rough at a microscopic level. When you rub or even press a cotton towel against wet hair, those fibres catch on the hair shaft and cause friction. That friction is a big part of what causes frizz and breakage over time. Microfibre fibres are significantly finer and smoother. A microfibre hair wrap absorbs water by drawing it in rather than scrubbing it out. Your hair dries faster and comes out smoother.
It is genuinely lightweight
A wet cotton towel twisted on your head can weigh a surprising amount. That weight pulls on wet hair when it is at its most vulnerable. A microfibre hair wrap is a fraction of the weight even when fully saturated, which is much kinder on your strands and a lot more comfortable to wear.
It dries fast itself
Because microfibre releases moisture quickly, a hair wrap made from it is dry and ready to use again within an hour or two in normal conditions. No more damp towels hanging around all day.
How to Use Your Hair Wrap
If you have not used one before, it takes about ten seconds to get the hang of it.
Step one. Tip your head forward so your hair falls down in front of your face.
Step two. Place the hair wrap at the nape of your neck with the button end sitting at the back of your head.
Step three. Gather your hair into the wrap and twist it up.
Step four. Flip the wrap back over your head and secure the loop over the button. Done.
Your hair wrap sits securely while you dry off, get dressed or have a coffee. By the time you take it off, your hair is most of the way to dry.
Who Is a Hair Wrap For?
Honestly, most people with hair longer than a short crop will notice the difference. But a microfibre hair wrap is especially useful if you swim regularly, surf or spend a lot of time in and out of the water. The faster your hair dries and the less friction it is subjected to, the better it holds up over time.
